The ARP passed. Merrick Garland will be AG. It's time to celebrate!

The United States has finally returned to LIBERAL GOVERNMENT.

It has been 52 years since the United States enjoyed truly, liberal government. The last time was during the LBJ Administration (1963-69). At this point, the Biden administration is knocking my socks off. It’s truly liberal in a way that we have not seen in my entire lifespan. I am thrilled—cautiously optimistic—no ... thrilled!

Celebration is in order. In honor of the passage of the ARP and the confirmation of Merrick Garland, I offer the following from McFadden & Whitehead:

Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now

At last, we have liberal government again. It’s a massive relief. Tears are appropriate. Dancing works too.

and talked to him on the phone a couple of times. He is the man for the job as you just said. I knew this even before he decided to run and was thrilled when he ran for the nomination. I was on board from
day one. I would have voted for any of our nominees but I believed and still do that Biden is the only one who could have won and sent the orange menace packing. Laelth, It sure looks like Trump had no intention of rolling out the vaccine...he was going for 'herd' immunity which would never have been achieved and would have cost millions of American lives in the end. We dodged a bullet. As an aside, how you feeling?

Passage of the ARP means a hell of a lot to me and the Daughter. We may be able to accumulate enough resources to actually escape from the hell-hole in which we are living. Thank you for asking.

Joe wasn’t my first choice in the primaries. I voted for Bernie, but South Carolina changed everything. African-American women said, “No. We need Joe,” and here we are. Joe is turning out to be the most liberal American president since LBJ, and I am tickled pink. I am genuinely HOPEFUL.

It’s a nice feeling.

I’ve been waiting all day to see that Merrick Garland was confirmed. I feel so much more hopeful than I’ve felt in 4 years. We need to get to the bottom of all this shit ASAP.

I am very much looking forward to Garland’s tenure as AG. He’s got a VALID, personal grudge against the GOP. If he prosecutes them, the Biden administration will be particularly immune to accusations of partisanship.

It is such a relief. As a Bernie supporter, Biden is indeed surpassing my expectations! To bet back to what we were before the 80s as a party is what I have been wanting for a while.
