Joe Biden Dazzles In First Primetime Address To The Nation

Last edited Thu Mar 11, 2021, 10:43 PM - Edit history (1)

Joe Biden offered America hope, a path for the future, and hailed the success of his plan to combat COVID in his first primetime address to the nation.

This was a dazzling performance from the new president. He told Americans where things stand, where the country is going and offered hope for the future. The presidency is now in the hands of a person who is more than up to the challenge.

President is delivering more than results. He’s also offering hope and a vision for the future. - PoliticusUSA

Joe spoke with empathy and passion, was informative, and gave us hope. The aim to have everyone eligible for vaccination by May is huge news. There's the light at the end of the tunnel! Wonderful!

And I do not say that lightly. He reminds me of how my parents talked about FDR.

Biden is not just a talker. He has taken a great deal of concrete action to help the American people during a period of multiple threats and crises. And he has just begun.

He said he was putting his soul into this job and I think he has.
For some reason this speech today reminded for a minute of JFK.
I have no idea why, it just did. The energy, the hope, the attempt to make better lives for all?

I hope McConnell and the rest of the evil GOP do not slow Joe down too much.

What it will take for us - all of us - to do so that we can all move forward together. He didn't detour into irrelevancies about how great he is, what his ratings are, or what a bunch of poopyheads everyone else is. He had the details on the just-signed Covid relief legislation, thanked Congress appropriately for their work in bringing the bill to him for signature.

Biden knows how government can work and has the people in place to do what he wants to get done. It's quite a change from the previous four years.

And Biden continues to sail miles above it. A president who has and shares detailed plans rather than lists of grievances!

Somehow TFG kept managing to tunnel under the bar of his expectations, no matter how much it was lowered. (How presidential! He's reading off a teleprompter!)

In spite of the rigours of the Trumpvirus, President Biden has still made this a great time to be a Democrat.

like a chat with Dad or Grandpa. Biden's not a great orator in the mold of Lincoln, JFK, FDR, but he's down to earth, maybe more like Truman.
