As a military officer, I am calling for the ban of Fox News being broadcasted in the workplace on all military bases and installations.
The values of Fox News are not aligned with those of the United States military, and undermine good order and discipline among the ranks.

It would be great if this gathered enough steam to actually happen.

(13,991 posts)before the election that showed, among non-officer military, that Biden and Trump each had about 50% support. So theres plenty of non-Trumpers in our military.

(29,322 posts)Armed Forces Network airs on bases in war zones and it is up to them to decide the content & channels. Watching sports or something in a war zone can be good for morale so ordering them all to be shut off wouldn't work very well.

(2,495 posts)...played poker...I mean board games. 😁 Even had a broken down PS2 which for some miraculous reason worked. Of course the only two games played most of the time were GTA3 or Ace Combat 4. You'd also be surprised how long a pocket binder of DVDs will last on a 6 month deployment.

(1,364 posts)I agree, Faux News blasts 24/7 on Military TV's......disgusting. Never has the military looked weaker than today.

(4,167 posts)I swear it seemed like it was a policy that all TVs had to be in Fox (whether I was at a medical, personnel, finance, etc building )...And even during Obama it seemed like the a lot of buildings had it on Fox.m with the occasional CNN..ironically during Trumps presidency I saw more of CNN (still saw my fair share of Fox, but not as much as during the other two presidents), with even the occasional MSNBC shockingly
Edit - come to think of it, I saw more neutral chsnnee we like ESPN and HGTV my last few years in

(82,849 posts)If someone talks back to a conservative meathead for something stupid he said: Cancel culture!
If someone chooses not to watch Fox: Cancel culture!
If a website doesn't want to be sued for carrying actionable content by some conservative meathead: Cancel culture!
Curiously, the remedy for conservatives' butthurt over cancel culture always seems to go against conservatives' alleged principles.
