"SNIP......

Politico: “The two-hour meeting of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties — billed as an academic review of lawmakers’ ability to punish or expel one another under House rules — quickly devolved into a tidal wave of outrage, a snapshot of the increasingly toxic environment that has enveloped Capitol Hill since a mob of pro-Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol and sent them fleeing for their lives.”

“Democrats continue to seethe over their GOP colleagues who countenanced Trump’s efforts to discredit the election, and blame them for contributing to the atmosphere that inspired the mob. Republicans have largely sidestepped that debate, but as Democrats have begun ramping up tactics to marginalize the 138 House Republicans who voted to reject some of the 2020 results, some are beginning to bristle more vocally. And at Thursday’s hearing, the dam broke.”

EXPEL THEM!!!

Or at the very least, make them feel like the garbage they are at every possible opportunity. Spit on the floor and walk away if they try to talk to you.

7. It's too late for Trumpy-Boy. The hounds are scratching at his door.

Once the wheels of justice start turning, Trumpy will be devoured by frantic efforts to save himself. He's now got three or four agencies who look forward to holding him to account. He can't turn the entire GOP into the Trump party. Whole segments will not commit themselves to him knowing that, at any moment, he'll be issued an arrest warrant or be subpoenaed for a deposition. His god-like status is about to be brought down to earth.

Good! Those that voted not to certify a legitimate election need to spend the rest of their days counting the paper clips in their desk drawers until their constituents realize they elected someone who isn't doing a darned thing for the people in their district.

The link you provided only contains these two paragraphs, which are a stub for the longer Politico piece. The use of "SNIP" here is misleading. So I went searching for the full piece. Here 'tis:

because we source so often from there that it is only fair we give them some traffic. I always post the full link to the original article within the snip, as political wire does unless it is a some republican source or a pdf ot twitter.

to the party of continual aggressive nastiness and hostility, to finally encounter implacable anger and revulsion from people who'd mostly managed to respond to their boorish bullying and dirty tricks as the professionals at work they are.
