Ted Lieu

Dear Rep @mtgreenee: Guam is a US territory, not a foreign country. I served on active duty at Andersen AFB, the only base in the Western Pacific that can permanently service US bombers.
Oh, and Guam Representative San Nicolas votes in House Committees, something you cannot do.

Congresswoman refers to Guam, a US territory, as a foreign country that doesn't deserve US aid

I know we've become a moron-worshipping idiocracy, but FFS, someone this willfully ignorant and just plain stupid should not hold office.
(Also stationed at Andersen AFB, 1988-1989. Hated it. Temperature never fell below 85 degrees except when we were being pummeled by typhoons.)

(8,923 posts)New Mexico Magazine's last page highlights stories from people who have experienced others thinking that New Mexico is in Mexico.
It was called. One of our 50 is missing.
Example, a couple moved to New Mexico from Florida but their furniture hadn't arrived. When they called the movers, they were told.that their personal belongings haven't cleared customs.

We all, sixty years ago had to take, (AND PASS), a class called Civics. Do they even have that class taught any more in Jr. High (middle schools)?????????????????
I would guess, that a huge block of the people in the House and Senate are not nearly as smart as we think they are, and could not pass that test................

(102,373 posts)especially in the smaller, less populated states. I don't say that to be cruel--just that they often were not well-educated. Their constituents were fine with that because they weren't either.
But, honestly, seeing the likes of Marjorie Traitor Greene, Lauren Boebert, the always ignorant Louie Gohmert, Ron Johnson in the Senate, and so many others, I am just beside myself.
We MUST turn back this dangerous trend of anti-intellectualism and the RW embrace of ignorance.
