For the first time in years, Donald Trump is starting to fade into the background, according to SocialFlow data tracking the number of clicks to news articles.

The big picture: During the first month of his post-presidency, Trump remained as discussed as he was when he was in office, when he dominated social and traditional media. His numbers have plunged the past couple weeks.

During the first four weeks after he left office, daily clicks to Trump articles — indexed to 100, based on highs and lows during the past year — averaged 53.
In the last two weeks, the average has fallen to 21.

Between the lines: Part of the decrease has been by choice. Trump's CPAC speech on Feb. 28 was his only public appearance since leaving office, and his media appearances were limited to a few network call-ins.......................................

... he is faded. The loss of his Twit machine has really helped... I don't see much shared on Twitter and Facebook anymore. These "statements" he issues are few and don't have traction. His one appearance did not help. He seemed like a relic from the past - and not a good one. I know Trump fans adore him, still, but they were always a minority. The Donald may always be recalled with Decline, Disease, Depravity...

He has no venue for mass communication with his mindless cult. They're lost, with no leader to tell them what to think, or what they should be homicidaly enraged about, they're looking for a substitute to fill that empty place where Drumpf used to live. There's even an outside chance they might accidentally learn a few facts, catch a fleeting glimpse of the truth, and form an opinion of their own for once in their lives. I know, that's a lofty goal, but stranger things have happened.

As long as his spray tan machine is nearby.

He needs to be brushed in lacquer like an old Polaroid - and then put into a dusty drawer in a ancient house so dry that it is ready to catch fire...
