(46,909 posts)Also maybe Joe is more comfortable in his role now, and is buoyed by his successes?
I also am intrigued by these kind of things.

(47,397 posts)He went through a really rough time after Beau died and a part of him it seems has never been quite the same since. There is a sadness and vulnerability that wasn't there before. Now and then I see little glimpses of the old Joe surface, but in the meantime, a quieter more somber Joe seems to be appropriate and effective for this moment in history.
He is taking his role in history very seriously and it is obvious in his steady and focused demeanor.

(16,178 posts)Scary to think if the former guy was still in charge. We gotta give Joe some D Senators at midterms.

(66,316 posts)The repeated references to "May One' made me cringe a little bit; only because it reminded me of "Two Corinthians."
It's a military thing that I heard all the time in the Army, so it's okay.
