Trump is trying to claim credit for the development and roll-out of Covid vaccines.
One year ago, Trump told us that the virus would miraculously disappear.
One year ago, Trump told us that the virus was a hoax.
One year ago, he wouldn't allow the preventative measures that could have saved thousands of lives.
One year ago, Trump began his lies that still influence his followers who deny the severity of the pandemic.
Now he wants "credit" for the preventative cure that doctors and scientists created?
How in the world does this make any sense at all?
What a pathetic moron.

That is my comment to anyone praising Trump. His mess cost more lives. And if he had been reelected, the rich (as Florida shows) would be getting it nation wide, not all people. And he would not have hunted more vaccines as he messed opportunities to get more while he was suppose to be doing that in his job.

(21,823 posts)Did we ever find the 20 million doses of vaccine that were missing when Biden took office?
Did we ever find out why Trump sidelined viral disease experts by putting crazed radiologist Scott Atlas in charge?

(2,600 posts)and were looking into angles to profit from the vaccine as well. Additionally, he had Homeland Security or some other agency of the government confiscate PPE headed to struggling states and diverted them to China FFS!

(11,572 posts)Look at dozens of examples of things far more outrageous and "unlikely" (to put it kindly) that they already believe? A measurable percentage of the public believe in David Icke's (among others) conspiracy theory that the true elite of the world are actually reptilians in disguise.
You could go on all day with the lunacy they buy into.

(1,568 posts)He and his team did get needed money to scientists and companies. He did. I appreciate that.
The problem was, he couldnt see past that. He only knows how to throw money around. Distribution? Thats boring.

(14 posts)His delays allowed the virus to flourish in the wild and mutate to the more virulent varieties. His crimes are crimes against humanity and should be treated as such. A case should be made to try him at the world court as a mass murderer.

(23,182 posts)Plus he personally made this so very much worse than it should have been, it negates any good he did with the regulatory stuff. To this day, people are contracting and dying of this disease solely because of his grifting lies. There is no good in him, it's all hate and grifting, those are the only things he cares about - certainly doesn't give even a nano fraction of care for anyone other than himself and possibly toy.

(5,506 posts)That plays to his hand.
There is no past in his mind, except for the people who he imagines have "wronged" him. Then, he focuses on how to garner revenge on them.
Constant self-promotion and revenge are the sum total of his existence.
