To those demanding that AG James be allowed to conducted her investigation of Gov Cuomo...

Do you know how Tish James got the job?

She replaced AG Eric Schneiderman, who resigned over his own sex scandal...at the insistence of Gov Cuomo.

James ran for the seat and won the election.

But not sure how that is relevant. ES was accused by long time girlfriends of physically abusing them and had medical records.

James ran for the seat and won the election.

But it was another woman that replaced him and decided not to run for the seat herself.

Mar 2021

"A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo is planning to unleash a political action committee against Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand after they have so far failed to come forward to call on the New York governor to resign.

Lindsey Boylan, who accused Cuomo in a Medium post of kissing her without her consent among other allegations, said on Twitter that she plans to launch the PAC in an effort to primary Schumer, who is up for reelection next year, and Gillibrand, who is not up for reelection until 2025."

now as to why Ms. Underwood chose not to run in her own right is anybody's guess (I would say from outside looking in she seemed to be the ultimate workhorse as opposed to show horse).

We could play this game forever. Do you know that MCConnell denied a Supreme Court vote on Merrick Garland and then when the situation was reversed he pushed through Amy Coney Barrett?

Falling on the purity sword rarely works well for Dems....

28. There was harder evidence against Schneiderman

ie longer term relationships with clear patterns of abuse that were independently verified. There was also no political motivation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Schneiderman#Allegations_of_abuse_and_resignation
Both Selvaratnam and Barish alleged that Schneiderman engaged in a pattern of alcohol abuse, and that he had threatened to kill them if they ended their respective relationships with him. Mayer and Farrow reported that they confirmed the women's allegations with photographs of wounds and bruises, as well as with statements from friends in whom the women had confided after the assaults.

The accusations against Cuomo are similar to the Biden ones, ie nebulous sniffing/hugging stuff, timed for maximum political damage in an upcoming election. Thus, we need the AG to suss out what is what.
