A Pennsylvania woman created "deepfake" videos of her daughter's cheerleading rivals, depicting them naked drinking and smoking

And then she sent them to her daughter's coaches to try and get them kicked off the squad

many people qualify as the first, but psychopaths are worse because they have no consciences and are probably @ 1 in every 20-25 people or so. They're in workplaces, neighborhoods, and of course schools, students, staff, parents....

Whatever, she might have suspected these students' parents and the staff at school who know them wouldn't just swallow this. Not to mention that the typical school district has sophisticated IT capabilities, as do many schools.

From what little I skimmed, I didn't catch the age of the girls involved. There might be some lines yet to be defined in deep-faking child porn, if that's even applicable here.

14. I was going to suggest we need some new laws on Deep Fakes to being used

for crimes like this horrible mom did. But, I figured there must be something on the books already to charge this person with. This won’t be the last of this kind of crap. I can see stuff being planted here and there on the Internet to smear someone. It will be hard to overcome and combat these attacks, especially for regular folks being stalked.

If someone hadn't questioned whether the videos were real, they'd have been going after this crazy woman for distributing kiddy porn, presuming the girls being faked were under 18.

I suppose this could still be true, if the fakes were generated by mapping the victims' faces onto real also-teenage girls.
