It’s a hairline fracture in his foot. He was in a boot for a long time and was limping for months. It’s still not right. Sometimes, they just don’t heal right.

Or perhaps if he is going to do a lot of walking on the weekend as opposed to sit sitting at a desk during the week, he'll wear the boot.

Or he is out of the boot and still limping. He should be walking with a cane, his gait is not good. It is going to put stress on his hips, back and other knee. And he doesn't want to do that, it will only cause more problems.
