3.14 - My Mom and Pi

I wished my Mom a Happy Pi Day.

She responded with homemade coconut creme.

I love Pie Day!

is a form of custard pie with a crunchy top. Others say any nut pie is a chess pie. I don’t care. I’m like Obama. Bring on the pie.

Now I'm thinking about another variation of pecan pie: Derby pie, named for the Kentucky Derby. It's basically pecan pie with chocolate chips added.

...never seen a square pie, so I'm with you on that account.

I asked mom about coconut creme, but we were both agreed on no more banana bread!

16. had my 1st combo fail. i have been making tarts w/ late summer rhubarb i froze.

rhubarb cherry great. rhubarb wild blueberry meh. cranberry wild blueberry better. rhubarb + lemon good. rhubarb nectarine/peach. i was big on mixing wild blueberries w/ everything.
cherry + cranberries great.
