Trump's CFO's ex-daughter-in-law is cooperating with prosecutors and 'refuses to be silenced,' her lawyer says
Jacob Shamsian
She's the former daughter-in-law of Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Org CFO the DA wants to "flip."
"Jennifer refuses to be silenced any longer," her lawyer told Insider in a statement.
An attorney representing the former daughter-in-law of the Trump Organization's CFO, Allen Weisselberg, says she's cooperating with prosecutors conducting an inquiry into Donald Trump's finances and "refuses to be silenced."
Jennifer Weisselberg "is committed to speaking the truth, no matter how difficult that may be," her attorney, Duncan Levin, told Insider in a statement. "She will continue to cooperate fully with the various law-enforcement agencies that are investigating her ex-husband's family and the very powerful interests they represent."
"Jennifer refuses to be silenced any longer by those who are conspiring to prevent her from sharing what she has learned over the past 25 years," Levin added.

(16,356 posts)when he showed up at a shiva mourning observance at her then- future father-in-law's house. He also dissed the modest house, implying it was an unworthy dwelling for "his" CFO, and he also showed off photos of a party on a yacht featuring naked women. All of this among a group of people mourning the recent death of a loved one!

(8,544 posts)There is a huge amount of Russian money that was laundered through the Trump investment, property, and resort system. The people behind that are ruthless and very protective of their assets. The scale of investment represents the kind of money the Pentagon dreams about.
These are the same folks who pushed Brexit through behind the scenes in order to avoid EU banking and tax laws which were due to be enforced because of British EU membership. Their investments in Britain would have been exposed for the laundering schemes they are.
Bannon commissioned Cambridge Analytica with Russian money for this purpose.

The only bank that would loan Trump money, Deutche Bank, was covered by VTB Bank, Putin's bank.

(2,838 posts)it was just business. She basically meant that Allen Weiselberg worshiped tRump and did his bidding. I rather doubt the feds will get anything out of that guy, even though he supposedly cooperated in earlier investigations.

(798 posts)Would an ex-daughter-in-law of a companys CFO know anything about anything?! Seems like a stretch. I hope the SDNY has closer witnesses than an ex DIL of a former CFO.

from The Daily Beast a few days ago, which includes info from Jane Mayer's New Yorker article
However, Jennifer Weisselberg thinks its unlikely her ex-father-in-law will play ball, saying: He has more feelings and adoration for Donald than for his wife... For Donald, its a business. But for Allen, its a love affair. As an example, she recalled to Mayer being hit on by Trump in front of her then father-in-lawat a shivah for Allens deceased motherand said with incredulity: He didnt stand up for me! Jennifer Weisselberg also said that, at the same event to mourn the dead, Trump showed people photographs of naked women with him on a yacht.
Separately, Mayer also reported the first details of the whereabouts of Trumps tax documents after they were provided to the Manhattan District Attorneys Office in February. The hard drive is believed to be in an incredibly high-security chamber within the Louis J. Lefkowitz State Office Building. The chamber is reported to be sealed by bank-vault-style doors, and lined with copper foil to stop remote tampering attempts.
Meanwhile, CNN reported Friday that Trumps time in the White House has given New York prosecutors a possible boost for any case against Trump. Prosecutors have reportedly discussed using a section of New York criminal procedure that allows for the extension of the statute of limitations if a defendant has been out of state continuously, as Trump has been since he took office in 2017. According to CNN, prosecutors think that could afford them more time to investigate Trumps business dealings.
