off the road in Idaho - as a safety chain connected to their 30ft camper was the only thing keeping them from falling.Authorities say a set of camp trailer safety chains and quick, careful work by emergency crews saved two people after their pickup truck plunged off a bridge, leaving them dangling above a deep gorge in southern Idaho.
Idaho State Police responded to the accident at about 2.45pm Monday, said ISP spokeswoman Lynn Hightower. A trooper found a man and a woman inside the pickup truck that was dangling, nose-down, off the side of the bridge spanning the Malad Gorge.
Idaho State Police identified the driver of the pickup as a 67-year-old man from Garden City, Idaho. The passenger was a 64-year-old woman who was also from Garden City. Their names have not been released.

(23,084 posts)My first reaction was, "Holy shit! 64 and 67 are considered elderly?" Then, "Holy shit look at that!"
At 67 myself I do more physical work a day than most people do in a month.
