Sharon Osbourne, co-host of the CBS daytime panel show The Talk, would frequently refer to then-co-host Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, as wonton and slanty eyes, according to multiple sources, including former co-host Leah Remini.
Osbourne also referred to former co-host and executive producer Sara Gilbert, who is a lesbian, as pussy licker and fish eater, according to multiple sources including Remini.
The accusations come as Osbourne faces a torrent of criticism for not only publicly supporting British TV personality Piers Morganwho accused Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, of lying about having suicidal thoughts and doubted her accounts of racism within the royal family and their courtbut also appearing defensive and angry and ordering one of her co-hosts to not cry when asked about the blowback during a segment on The Talk.
Though Osbourne has spoken abusively for years with little to no consequence, shes facing significant scrutiny for the first time in her career as a TV personality. The Talk has been put on hiatus as its co-hosts past and present air grievances on Twitter, and Osbourne is threatening at least one of them with litigation.
But sources say Osbourne has a long history of racist language and bullying and its time she owns up to it.

(9,175 posts)Sara Gilbert was executive producer, and Julie Chen was married to the head of the network. Im guessing she didnt use her pet names to their faces.

As I always say, ya kinda have to be stupid to be a racist. Sooner or later it will be exposed.

(102,273 posts)Given her past life with the nasty-assed Live Bat-decapitator/eater (why he was never prosecuted for that still escapes me), I can't say I'm surprised.

Osbourne will cry and beg for forgiveness, I suppose, but I bet she's done. As she should be.

A fan threw the bat on stage, and he thought it was fake and bit the head off. So, the fan should have been cited.

Frankly if someone disrespected me that way I would not be friendly with her.

(3,492 posts)Anyone who knows anything about her business dealings knows shes as ruthless and cutthroat as any mobster. Cold, brutal and willing to screw anyone to gain advantage. That shes a bully is the least surprising thing anyone has ever said about her. She refers to herself as a great big c**t.
So, no shock here. Thats how shes always been.

(9,073 posts)What is with Hollywood and celebrities and this sort of thing? Everyone always seems to know about bad behavior and worse. No one says or does a single thing until some story comes along, and then it's all, "Oh that was all going on for years." Ok, and no one spoke up? No one? You sat there, knowing about it, and said nothing? Do you want applause for speaking up now, when it's utterly safe and trivial to do so?
Profiles in courage, these people.
Everyone knew about Weinstein for years. Everyone knew about Spacey. Everyone knows about Bryan Singer. Hell, 30 Rock was making jokes about it as far back as 2008. Seth MacFarlane referenced it in an Oscar nomination ceremony in 2013.
But now that Osborne is on the hot seat, here come our celebrity angels, wanting a pat on the back for speaking out. Years later.
Sigh. I hate celebrities.
