The reality is that there's a complex web of powerful economic interests driving Republican corruption, bigotry, malfeasance, and disloyalty. Predatory capitalism, Christian fundamentalism, white supremacy, and the imperatives of mammalian dominance patterns are all collaborating (yet possibly not all conspiring) to drive the American right into the world order envisioned by Vladimir Putin and his mobster/banker cronies.
