4. I can explain this right wing nonsense

Some indictments and court records are sealed. You don’t publish the name of a mobster who has become an informant because his co workers would stop revealing criminal secrets to him, for instance. Right wingers look at an electronic database of pending matters and count the number of cases with names blacked out. They assume every such name is an indicted person. But that’s not true. Some of the entries are for wiretaps. You don’t want a spy to know that his associates are being monitored. Carter Page was not indicted but the court document relating to a wiretap on him did not disclose his name. Also people indicted who then plead guilty in a plea bargain May have a listing with name sealed even tho they are no longer being pursued. Many of the cases involve minor matters like traffic violations. In one analysis of one court district the number of real sealed indictments was something like 5% of the blacked out names. So if there are 200,000 blacked out names nationally there may be 10,000 actual unnamed indicted people. But right wingers count it as 200,000.

I won't hold you to 200,000 arrests. Let's say the first 2,000. When will it happen? By April 1 (heh)? May 1? Name the date when the first 2,000 arrests are made. I'll bet you $100 it won't happen. Whaddya say, morons? Should be an easy hundred. Sort of like your own personal mini-stimulus.
