Colorado Hemorrhages GOP Registrations

March 19, 2021 at 6:05 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Axios: The state’s Republican Party lost more than 63,000 voters since the 2018 election when Democrats won all statewide offices and the General Assembly in a historic landslide, state data shows.”

“That equates to a 2.6% decline as a share of registered voters.”

She's not a policy wonk, she's not a big business executive, she's not a decent con artist. She's just a woman with a gun. Wow. She rode the zeitgeist created by Trump, but now that's becoming old and tired. She has nothing left.

Then we could have a decent state legislature and governor instead of lackeys for the wealthy.

It's snow's like it does up here in Co. I'll even help pack your truck.
Here I'll show you.

"Get in the truck b$tc*....OK ready to go" If you can't stand it here in Co. the south is calling your name.

And they are to a man, registered "Independent" but vote solid red on every issue/candidate. It makes them feel good about themselves by saying they have no allegiance to the Republican Party, as if they are reasonable people who, if presented with valid and convincing facts/arguments, would vote their conscience. They won't. It's just cover.

I'd like to see what the increase of democratic voter registrations is in that same period of time.

Although, I did see a lot of Biden signs in my semi-rural SE Denver Metro area neighborhood this year, which was refreshing.

Big INDEPENDENT guy, never failed to repeat a Rethug talking point with a big smile on his face. I was too much of an asshole and would just ignore it to keep the peace.

as the repubs have gotten more and more crazy and toxic, I see tons of people who claim to be "independent" while spewing repub and Fox talking points. Of course, "they don't watch any of that."

The fewer GOP voters, the less interference while the good guys are focusing on fixing everything the other team broke.

Naturally, in increase by a factor of 10 would be VERY welcome, but we have to have realistic expectations.

27. What causes some states to say "Enough!" to Republicans?

Why do majorities in some states -- like California and now apparently Colorado -- collectively reach a breaking point and say "Enough!" to Republican dishonesty and stupidity?

Is there a pattern that can be replicated in other states?
