(11,187 posts)And they are to a man, registered "Independent" but vote solid red on every issue/candidate. It makes them feel good about themselves by saying they have no allegiance to the Republican Party, as if they are reasonable people who, if presented with valid and convincing facts/arguments, would vote their conscience. They won't. It's just cover.
I'd like to see what the increase of democratic voter registrations is in that same period of time.
Although, I did see a lot of Biden signs in my semi-rural SE Denver Metro area neighborhood this year, which was refreshing.

(64,636 posts)as the repubs have gotten more and more crazy and toxic, I see tons of people who claim to be "independent" while spewing repub and Fox talking points. Of course, "they don't watch any of that."

(166 posts)Why do majorities in some states -- like California and now apparently Colorado -- collectively reach a breaking point and say "Enough!" to Republican dishonesty and stupidity?
Is there a pattern that can be replicated in other states?
