Lied to FBI agents about being in the Capitol even though her husband is an FBI agent. Her husband was not at the Capitol which is a whole other story. #SeditionHasConsequences #SeditionTrack

Sedition Track
@seditiontrack
The FBI actually identified her through yet another man she was with who was not her husband. Her husband was on duty that day in Pittsburgh, PA.

(7,394 posts)a real life tv drama, starring themselves. Delusions of grandeur and patriotism. Parades, dress-ups, guns, pack mentality, defending the American way, showing off for the other true believers. Usually without fear of repercussions. But they went too far. It's a sickness really.

WOW! your assessment merits some investigation by some psychiatrists...Well done.
I mean, this girl seems to be cheating on her husband, and she wants the World to know she is doing it...It doesn't get more crazy than that, but I guess anything goes when you want to become a "star".

(81,107 posts)And you can bet that, every time news footage shows the insurrection, theyre all watching TV closely, hoping to see themselves popping up in the coverage of the marauding crowds, and getting a rise out of it and pointing it out to all their friends. Didja see me in there? THAT shot RIGHT THERE! I was THERE! See that guy next to the big fellow in the fur? No, not THAT one. The OTHER guy next to him - thats ME!!! I was THERE! That was ME!! Right THERE! Dig it!
And hopefully, one of those friends makes a quick little call to the FBI...

(6,150 posts)Ronald Reagan was also an actor, both movies and TV.
I guess the Republican base sees people who were part of the entertainment industry as being really good Presidential candidates. That tells you more about their base than I want to know.
Also, just as a side note, the movie Predator "spawned" two governors, Arnold Schwartznegger, and Jessie Ventura. I believe that is the only movie to have done this.

(16,272 posts)I don't think it was the chaos and cruelty per se that the media were in love with. It was the drama they adored.
The disturbing part is that they didn't seem to care that chaos and cruelty were what caused the drama.
To paraphrase Ron in the first Harry Potter movie, they need to sort out their priorities.

(5,088 posts)When they are faced with two stories, with one about a cure for cancer, and the other is about some MAGAts and their insane actions, they go with the one that gets the most hits/brings in the most income... which, unfortunately, is the story about the MAGAts. No, they don't care about what they say when their main goal is to create income. It is NOT to dissimilate the news in a fair and impartial way. Being fair and impartial does not make money these days.

(51,280 posts)Channel 11?s Rick Earle learned Heinls husband is a detective with the Shaler Police Department.
Court records indicate he filed for divorce in February, one month following the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Channel 11 has learned Heinls husband is a member of the FBIs violent crime task force unit in Pittsburgh.
The departments chief tells Channel 11 Heinl was on-duty at the time of the insurrection and does not support what took place at the U.S. Capitol.

(47,260 posts)That's for sure. Its unlikely that such a ridiculous story could even get published in the first place. I love political thrillers, but they have to be somewhat plausible. Who could have even imagined someone like Donald Trump as president in the first place? Even the president in Idiocracy was more credible.

If he is blameless in this - which, upon reflection seems unlikely - he would have grounds for divorce in a state where it's not as easy as it is in others. That would be my move, at least.
