1. AFAIK, they don't. They will meet with them, usually after preliminary meetings

of diplomats, and there are likely to be (usually polite) disagreements, but public debates don't happen.

to that sort of thing. I think most Presidents would have viewed it as a colossal waste of time.

voted for him. We've come a long way from the Cold War days of Nixon and Khrushchev. Biden is a steady guy and he is more aware than us, with advisors we trust. Let's see what he does.

5. Well, he may view it differently than past Presidents and decided to debate him.

But, if I had to bet the mortgage payment, there's no way it happens. Guess we'll see.

Indeed, Putin has never debated anybody. He probably doesn't have a clue how to do so, while Biden has debated so many times. Biden should happily accept Putin's challenge. Putin might find it difficult to explain house-bombings 1999, Chechnya repression, wars, murders, etc.

The purpose of a political debate is to help me to decide who I should support.

In the case of Biden versus Putin, there is no question that I already know who I support.

Anyone that supports this should be asked why they have any doubt about where their loyalties lie.

Any Republican that suggests that Biden should accept this debate (or worse suggest that Biden is afraid or isn't up to it) should have his ass handed to him with some form of this question.

Why would we give Putin the exposure to spout propaganda in a high profile arena that simply elevates his message

have enough sense to even consider this. C'mon, Dems, we got the right guy in the White House. Let's not second guess him. I trust Joe Biden to do the right thing for this country. That doesn't mean I'm not going to have my right to raise concerns. But here, I say, let's see how this plays out. Give the guy a little more credit...
