I know they can show up outside of that window of time but so far, so good. And I'm not going to pay any attention to the fact that my final 2 week 'fully activated antibodies' date will be April Fools Day.

(8,278 posts)I get the second april 6. A friend told me that he knew some folks who get reactions from the first pfizer shot, and experience nothing after the second. I'm hoping that's true with me lol

(86,323 posts)Just got my first moderna blast a couple hours ago. That nurse was good, I never felt it. So far I'm feeling the same as I did before the shot. It's about as noninvasive as it could be.
I hope it is a good experience for you.

(20,866 posts)It was luckily a non-event.
No sore arm, no nothing.
I had the first shot on Friday at 3:00 pm which was 3 days ago.

(20,866 posts)I was so worried what with the MS always right there.
I hope the 2nd shot is also a non-event as well.
I'm almost 65 (will be in July).
What a relief indeed!!

(9,137 posts)My arm has hurt since, and Ive had a low grade headache since 11 last night, but neither is a big deal.

(97 posts)been running a low grade temperature, have joint pain, am tired and headache-y. And my arm hurts like heck. Am REALLY dreading the second shot, since that's the one that is supposed to be a misery.

(26,249 posts)My brother had hard reactions to both Moderna shots. He'd already had Covid and said the first shot was just as bad, and the 2nd, not quite. I barely even felt any arm tenderness from either injection site.
I've never had a reaction to a vaccination and I received a LOT of them when I was in the military. So, I was pretty confident I'd have that same lack of reaction but I guess the window of time is 2 to 3 days before you are really 'out of the woods.

(25,479 posts)Right away. It has a side effect of rendering you symptomless and euphoric.

(12,051 posts)side effects, but whatever. I'll feel a whole lot better with the vaxxes done. Gosh, after the 2 weeks pass, I'll feel like I can go into a grocery during the daytime, not at the wee hours of the morning.

(942 posts)I'm 55. My Dad 71, got both Moderna shots, had no side effects other than a slightly sore arm the day after. A friend who is 72 got the Pfizer a month or so ago, was a little sick for a day and half after the 2nd shot.

(36,744 posts)Some people form antibodies faster than others.
I am in your camp I do believe. The reactions were a bit different for me off each shot. Fatigue was the commonality though.

(3,282 posts)I had nearly no effects, and those that I did have were within 12 hours. My wife had a pretty bad go, and that started within 12 hours as well.
Of course there are outliers, but I'd feel pretty good about not getting knocked at this point.
