I had my second dose of Pfizer this past Monday. Very relieved to have that done.

(86,579 posts)Moderna dose a couple hours ago. I told the nurse that I was terrified of needles. I looked away, as I always do, and she was done before I knew it. She was good, never felt it.
I'm thrilled that I can finally get this process going and done. I'll still be wearing a mask and all that until at least mid summer.

(14,853 posts)I was holding up a shirt sleeve very high, since the tech said she prefers to administer it high in the shoulder. Looked away briefly, and she was already rubbing the spot again with an antiseptic wipe. I asked her if she REALLY gave it to me since I never even felt pressure from the needle!
The arm is slightly sore today, though. Very slight and dull soreness that's expanding in size. Felt nothing yesterday.

(86,579 posts)A bowl of soup and took a nap. Now I feel a slight soreness in the area of the shot but nothing else, really. I hope this will be the extent of it, I hate feeling crappier than my normal crappiness which is considerable but I've come to absorb that level and ignore it most of the time. Anything more than that could be difficult.
Mostly, I'm relieved to be halfway there now.

(14,853 posts)The 2nd dose is more likely to result in us feeling ill, from our immune systems reacting to it. No guarantee that will happen, though.
All better than hospitalization or dying!

(205,287 posts)My arm was a little sore for the rest of the day, that was it. And I was impressed with how efficient the whole experience was, no wait and I only had to wait 15 minutes afterwards and I was on my way.
Good for you and welcome to DU!
