Just like virus prevention, the post office, and other things that shouldn’t be political.

Downplaying racism as a political issue is extremely dangerous. It's far more pervasive and consequential than that.

Do you or do you not think Trump and his fellow Republicans calling COVID19- the "China Flu", the "Kung Flu", and the "Wuhan Virus" contributed to an atmosphere where our Asian American brothers and sisters became targets?

We'll find out soon enough what his politics are and we will not be surprised.

Cause as poorly as he reflects on the Republican Party and its xenophobic, misogynist ways, it seems the real failure here is on the part of whoever was teaching this violent entitled idiot Christian ethics.

Anyway, an interesting footnote here is that the reason every single Republican voted against Biden's quarantine stimulus isn't that they were against the stimulus, but that they opposed the gun law provisions in the bill.

What was that provision? The Democrats were wanting to extend ex-partner protections that limited impulse gun buying to ex-partners where children we're not involved. Current laws only protect ex-spouses and former unmarried domestic partners who has children together from potentially violent stalkers.

In other words, the Republicans were literally standing up for the ability of ex-boyfriends to violently stalk former sex partners. A mandatory 30 day cooling off period would have saved eight lives in Atlanta this week.

As investigators pieced together whether and how racism and sexism might have motivated Tuesday’s attacks, people who knew Mr. Long offered new details about a dangerous collision of sexual loathing and what a former roommate described as “religious mania” that marked his life in the years before the shooting spree.

Mr. Long, whose church strictly prohibited sex outside of marriage, was distraught by his failed attempts to curb his sexual urges, said Tyler Bayless, a former roommate who lived with Mr. Long at a halfway house near Atlanta for about five months beginning in August 2019.
