Mar-a-Lago partially closed due to Covid outbreak - BREAKING

https://www.local10.com/news/local/2021/03/19/trumps-mar-a-lago-partially-closed-because-of-covid-outbreak-reports-say/

Former President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach club has been partially closed because of a COVID outbreak.
That’s according to several people familiar with the situation, including a club member who received a phone call about the closure Friday.
A receptionist at the Mar-a-Lago club confirmed the news, saying it was closed until further notice, but declined to comment further.

But a part of me hopes that it isn't because that would further spread this variant. OTOH, if he got the variant and it was fatal to him, it might convince others to take it more seriously.

Was a Covid denier, reusing even to let his government talk to the WHO, and he died of Covid this week.
His government is officially stating that he died of a heart attack.
They would do the same if trump got it and died.

Stuff as many Republicans you can in there and don't let them leave unless they are in body bags or completely recovered and can't spread it.

Repukes are the ones who want to open everything up at once so let them go to their leaders place.

The new Hotel Donald. If you are a rich repuke you can always check in but you might not check out.

What's the downside?

If I understand the agreement with the city correctly, MaL can't be a private residence, but people can stay/live in parts of it if they're an employee of the club. They're still living "in the club" because the whole thing has to be either a club or a private residence, it can't be both, per the agreement with the city.

So to me, a partial shutdown probably means that the areas that are normally open to the public are shut down, but the areas where Trump (& whoever else) lives are open so they can stay there & not get kicked out.

Personally, I'd love to see them get kicked out & spend a week at a Motel 6, or some place that's worse.

I know membership has fallen, people citing the food chosen by somebody with a wooden palate (heh) and the lack of any DC or international political celebrities (to bribe?).

https://www.ibtimes.com/why-mar-lago-members-are-canceling-memberships-after-trumps-arrival-3129492

I especially love the crack about everybody there being, like, 100 years old. That's the Palm Beach crowd now, Binky, there's nothing hip and happening about that place.

I wonder if Ann Coulter is still a reg and whether she's still in that skimpy black dress now that she's either 60 or pushing it (she's been vague about her birth year).

I'll have another helping of schadenfreude, thanks. It's especially tasty when it's self inflicted.

except its not his couch, it belongs to whoever is letting Pence crash there. In case you don't remember, Pence was so sure he would win that he made no other living arrangements past the Vice President's residence.

Trump would try to make Pence let him stay anyway. "C'mon Mike, I'll have bunk beds put in the guy's living room, it'll be like old times!"
