the total tax credit is $3600 for children under 6, and $3000 for children 6-17. The advance payments will come in 6 installments from July to December, and is equal to half of the total tax credit you'll be entitled to.

So, for 10 kids aged between 6 and 17, you'd get 6 payments of $2500, and then the balance of $15000 when you file in 2022.
