(24,467 posts)They think a 100,000 indictments are going to be served on Biden and the Democrats. By the military. Because they will install Trump back to his deserved place as POTUS......seriously.

(33,327 posts)I don't expect to be impressed by the scale of the accusations, either.
And I expect Trump to laugh, pay a fine and fuck off back to Maralago.

(33,327 posts)sorry, I rounded up.

(42,770 posts)Then I remember. Geez you have to give them some degree of credit. Mastermind deviant or something? To be able to skillfully avoid taxes and get loans on false information they must have been constantly dodging this person and that person. Our accountant will call us to ask us if a $20 lunch was with a client. I guess that's what comes with being super wealthy on paper anyway you get the best accountants that exist.

(33,327 posts)The refund would eventually grow to $70.1 million, plus $2,733,184 in interest, the Times reports. He also received $21.2 million in state and local refunds, which often piggyback on federal filings.
So, 70.1 + 2.7 + 21.2 = 94 million.

(9,291 posts)at least starting in the past few days, that SDNY is doing a media push these last few days. Must be a reason. I thinking they are cooking someone , seeing if they become soup.
Tic tock.

(9,139 posts)I mean, it'd be nice, but I don't think prosecutors would go out of their way to tell him what charges they're filing.

(7,431 posts)A huge part of the public is quietly demanding that there be something trustworthy about the DOJ. A swath of the public wants accountability. We see nor hear anything from the WH that can be perceived by the DOJ as a demand of restraint regarding their treatment of Trump.
When Trump was president, we could rest assured that Trump would do ANYTHING to enhance his wealth. Biden's major task is to restore confidence in government. He knows how close we came to losing the Constitution. So he has to convince the public that the government is worth keeping.

Im hopeful still. Im prepared for a fitzmas letdown, but all this activity and the forensic accountants and the RICO (suave) guy and the pressure on the weisselburgs and looking at his Chicago property is encouraging.

(54,370 posts)I have no idea whether any of this will actually bear fruit, but it was nice to see a post with this title that was NOT about how other Democrats are frothing at the mouth to destroy Andrew Cuomo.
I get the (mistaken, I hope) impression that, these days anyway, Democrats are more interested in bringing down Andrew Cuomo than they are in bringing down Gregg Abbott.

(54,370 posts)I have never met Cuomo, have no idea what merit there is to the allegations against him. But I am willing to wait for an impartial investigation to attempt to get to the bottom of it all.
I do know Al Franken, and know that the whole scam against him was orchestrated and contrived. I marvel at all the explanations and theories about how he reacted, how, when and why he chose to resign, and why he hesitates to say anything about a return to the Senate, almost all of them wrong (at least the ones posted here). I'm not bothering to run down that whole scenario for the 47th time. Al has somewhat calmed down after three years, but if you really want an earful, talk to Franni. She most definitely has NOT!

(54,370 posts)And to this old political hack, hardly coincidental. Nothing of this nature is EVER coincidental.
That is no statement one way or the other in the merits of the "case." However, whether it is being contrived, or else a case of someone holding back hard evidence for the "right" moment, it is never coincidental.
