The vast majority of the For The People act is about trying to PROTECT VOTING RIGHTS.

We're not 'expanding' them, with one exception ... mandating that states give back felons their right to vote after completing their sentences.

Which is arguably not really 'expanding' voting rights, because these people are citizens that have a right to vote, who've had an unfair restriction placed on them by states, basically arbitrarily.

That whole mechanism really should've never been allowed in the first place. I'd imagine racism was at the core of it's origins. Once you've paid you debt to society, it's bullshit that you're prevented from voting for years.

that has to rely on bigotry, corrupt manipulation of the system to include various forms of voter suppression and gerrymandering, help from foreign adversaries, big lies, and even violent insurrection in order to maintain power, and shows no interest in serving the will of The People as clearly demonstrated by its unanimous opposition to the popular American Rescue Plan, is a party that belongs in history's dumpster.
