My latest. ATL shooting suspect told investigators he had a "sex addiction," claiming no racial motivations. However experts say white men have traditionally been given a pass when they say it -- and have the privilege of overlooking how race is a factor.

This sick killer targeted a certain ethnicity to kill, that is clear.

And him being in a halfway house prior to this because of “sex addiction” is highly unlikely. He’s likely a second offender, but maybe his offenses were when he was a minor. I don’t think there are half way houses for sex addicts, but there are for sex offenders.

Ruins as many lives as drug, alcohol and gambling addictions. However it's not treated as a real addiction so it's really hard to get help overcoming it. There's a million 12 step meetings and rehab centers for people with drug & alcohol problems. Most insurance companies won't cover the cost of SA therapy.

There's no excuse for what happened at those massage parlors and the shooter deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison.. But the media mocking sex addiction just increases the stigma and shane. And makes addicts less likely to seek professional help.
