Maybe Trump isn't doing rallies because he can't arrive in his private jet

That was my first thought when I heard that his jet needs repaired and hasn't been used for months.

Well, my first after I stopped laughing, anyway.

We know how much he loved to arrive in his own jet, before he could use Air Force One. We know how much he loved to have AF1 in the background at rallies.

How he can't fly anywhere for a rally without it calling attention to the fact that his jet needs repairs that he apparently can't afford right now.

The fixes would hold it over for the next six to eight months.

And THEN there’d have to be the usual maintenance in between the expensive rev-ups and flights to nowhere.
He mugged the govt. with his abuse of AF-1. That was on OUR dime. He deadass can’t afford to fly around all willy-nilly in that big, gaudy, orange elephant of a plane.

Whoever would pay to fix it would have to be followed up by someone willing to pay for continuous upkeep on it—otherwise the previous work just gets undone by idle rot.

I also have the distinct feeling that federal authorities are looking very closely at the inflow and outflow of money through his companies and personal finances. It would have to be a “domestic“ friend who would have to step in to help him. Putin or MBS petro-dollars to finance this thing’s repair and upkeep would be an immediate red flag.

cult leaders do. He can promise that what they give will come back to them a thousand times over. I would at least like to see him try dammit! How fun would that be to see him fail again? But someone probably needs money up front to set it all up and get him a suitable venue. It says a lot if he can't find a couple big money backers. If he can't, it means they don't trust him to make it work, or make it pay off for them.

Judging by that recent photo with Lara, he doesn't look fit for a rally. He was hanging onto her for dear life. It's weird that someone who is as attention-hungry as Trump has been staying out of the public eye, in general, as much as he has, let alone holding rallies.
