When the perpetrators of Jan 6 squirm and say they were fooled, remember,

They were not fooled about children in cages or racial violence. They did not pause as they saw a gallows and heard the violent chants. They were fooled it is true but they were fooled because of their hatred and greed. Their hatred and desire to be important in a new nation that no longer tolerated, liberals, the press, blacks, gays, and a list that goes on and on. They knew the dreams of the new nation they wanted to make and those dreams were nightmares. This was an ugly mob, smiling for cameras in the light of day.

As this attack was being made, as a cover, the excuse that it was all Antifa was already being laid down. This was coordinated by conservatives and the plan was to blame antifa and destroy our democracy. The traitors are still there. They are still fighting against democracy.

Do not be fooled when the insurrectionists say they were fooled. Yes they are right, they were fooled, but they were only fooled because they desired what anyone one sane would abhor.

6. They weren't fooled. They failed.

It’s not the same thing.

They were not fooled into doing what they did. They did exactly what they were told to do. Trump didn’t fool them. He led them. He thought it would work. He thought the mob would be able to stop the certification and he would remain President. The mob thought if they stopped the certification Trump would remain President. They were wrong, but that’s beside the point. Their goal was to stop the certification. They failed. But nobody fooled them into making the attempt.

7. One of the most significant images for me is the heroic Pages picking up the ballot boxes and

carrying them to safety. Those ballot boxes contained the essence of our democracy, and if the mob had succeeded in stealing them, our democracy may well have perished.

History is littered with the bodies of traitors who would sell out their country for their own venal reasons. I want to see every one of these traitors severely sentenced and imprisoned, but I am afraid too many of them will be turned loose to conspire to do worse next time.

My only hope is: when the Feds get you, they mean business. The Fed conviction rate is very high.
