Scammers frequently use the Police and Fire Departments named charities to solicit money that get funneled into someone's pocket.

5. I use to receive frequent telephone calls to ask for contributions to the funds for injured

police officers. The police officers usually had better benefits than I did working in the private sector along with the opportunity to enhance those benefits at a relatively low cost. I will never give a penny to those organizations. If someone left information about propositions they support in an election I would vote against their recommendations each time.

He is soliciting support if nothing else. Like a punch in the nose.
