I saw a suggestion online about laminating your covid vax card.

There might be occasions in future that you will have to show proof of vaccination.

10. After it is all filled in with both shots,... you can take the clear packaging tape,.. and coat both

.... sides. That packaging tape will protect it.

6. I was told it will be registered with the county

health department. I plan on checking with them in a week or so and make sure it is.

4. I also took a picture of the front and back in case anything happens to it, too, or if

someone someday wants proof and you have to send it digitally.

8. Might lift ink

A medical person suggested no lamination because the plastic film can lift the ink and mess up your card.

9. My husband was told by the VA to NOT laminate the card.

Reason given was the card may need updating.

ie...2nd dose, yearly booster possiblility.

13. This was my thought

my card has several lines for additional info/doses. I'm copying mine (several times).

25. Yip, I kept the original apart in case of 3rd booster, made copies

On one of the copies, in the blank lines added my pneumonia and shingles vax, and laminated the copy for the wallet and another one for a lanyard. If covid updates are done, it will be on the original.

14. I'm going to photo copy the card and laminate it in case of future updates. I'm also

Gonna see that our physicians get copies and snap a pic with our phones and then put the original in a safe place...

15. Don't laminate it.

There are extra fields on it for subsequent booster shots. Put it into a plastic protector.

Treat it like a passport, because it very well may become one.

17. Get those thick plastic laminates that don't stick. Those thin ones will peel and separate the paper

19. I took a picture with my phone, and I registered...

... with the CDC's V-safe on the day of the 1st dose.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/vsafe.html

-----
V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Through v-safe, you can quickly tell CDC if you have any side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers to the web surveys, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information. V-safe will also remind you to get your second COVID-19 vaccine dose if you need one.

Does it have your pic, DOB, etc on it? Hell, people forge passports, drivers licenses, etc and the have pictures on them. I could put my best friendís vax record on my phone, doesnít make me vaccinated.

..a safe place as some airlines will be asking for proof. I thought about laminating mine since we may need it for a long time yet.
