(17,984 posts)Biden does. He handled them. Biden will, too.
Scarborough reverted to his usual Republican face this morning!

(17,984 posts)But it was after the smirking remarks Joe made to him about the border. All 3 guests contradicted Scarborough. I watched Meechums face as Joe smirked through his insults to Biden.
Then I read this after turning Joe and Mika off.

(3,014 posts)True I have no power, but there are tons of points Ive made in my presentations. Its how scientific knowledge is shared at conferences. Not rigorous like publishing, but a way to get data and ideas out there.

WASHINGTON Jon Meacham, the presidential historian and biographer best known for studying the lives of past presidents, has taken on a relatively unique role in a contemporary political moment: helping to write speeches for the next president.
Mr. Meacham has had a hand in crafting many of Joseph R. Biden Jr.s biggest rhetorical moments, according to multiple sources, including helping to write the acceptance speech that Mr. Biden delivered on Saturday night from Wilmington, Del., his first remarks as the president-elect.
In that address, Mr. Biden spoke of a mission to rebuild the soul of America, to rebuild the backbone of this nation, the middle class, and to make America respected around the world again and was widely credited with striking the right tone about bringing the country back together. The language echoed the title of Mr. Meachams 2018 book, The Soul of America: The Battle for Our Better Angels, which has long served as a touchstone for Mr. Biden, who has reached out to Mr. Meacham in the past to discuss passages he liked.
To record history doesnt mean you are removed from it, Mr. Meacham said over the summer, noting that he had been friends with Mr. Biden for a long time. Mr. Bidens speech-writing process is run by Mike Donilon, his longtime adviser. But behind the scenes, Mr. Meacham has been playing a larger role than was previously known, writing drafts of speeches and offering edits on others, including one Mr. Biden gave in Gettysburg, Pa., last month and his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in August.

(17,984 posts)Scarborough put him in an awful position with his tirade this morning. I doubt we will be seeing Jon much on that show. He does not get paid since joining the Biden team. He is a great Historian who added much to the show. Joe is a hypocrite of the worst kind.
Joe had already been knocked down by the 2 women guests. He was flailing and I am not watching.

(7,447 posts)Powerpoint can be great, mediocre or terrible depending on how it's used. I've used it quite effectively in a rape trial and in training attorneys. It can also be used very poorly, like any other tool.

(54,013 posts)Although he may have a point about power. As someone who makes and uses powerpoints for work, I notice it's a medium used to convey facts and analysis to a generalization, to connect the dots between data and conclusions. People with power make speeches, often written by someone else, not presentations.
