4. Bans without actual confiscation or surrender probably won't work

We now have 400 million guns in circulation in the US. If we outlawed production of them tomorrow we’d still have 400 million guns. To put it in perspective that’s enough to arm every single human in the United States and the United Kingdom, with still several million left over. It’s a staggering number that has been allowed to mushroom out of control.

I have no idea how you tackle that number in a meaningful way without physically removing them which would also violate our constitution. Everyone here will be worm food before our constitution is altered in any way. So here we are.
