Sen. Kennedy seems unaware we combat drunk driving with a giant regulatory structure for the substances that make people drunk.

Meanwhile, back in the real world:
You have to get a license to drive a car & insurance in case you harm someone with it.
It is illegal to drive drunk. And you will lose your ability to drive a car.
Cars only incidentally kill people; it's the only thing an AR-15 is good for.

Drunk drivers don't kill 10 people in a grocery store.
We also have laws to deal with drunk drivers.
Rethuglicans don't think thoughts and prayers will stop a drunk driver, do they?

You need a govt issued license to operate a car, which requires passing a test to show you can use one safely, and the owner of each car has to register it with the state. twitter.com/atrupar/status…
