Ship Ever Given, blocking the Suez Canal, to be renamed "Never Forgiven"

That's just a joke I thought up, but according to vesselfinder.com the ship is still where it was yesterday with a couple more tugs around it. US News and World Report says it's "on the move" according to "a shipping source and witness", but it doesn't look like it has gone anywhere, and oil prices are going up.

You can really see the traffic jam at both ends developing. I am assuming that is more crowded there than normal because there are dozens of vessels at both ends.

As a South Floridian, wind is kind of a primary concern during certain parts of the year.

I also like the air traffic trackers.

I guess I am a little surprised that this kind of information is readily available to the public.

to be allowed to come back to the US during COVID. They were blocked from going through the Panama Canal for a while. They were also, part of the time, ordered in their cabins with shades drawn - so I could tell here where she was when she couldn't see directly herself.

And, yes, she did end up with COVID from the cruise (and likely infected a plane load of people, since after the first flight, they just dumped them on dozens of commercial flghts to their final destinations without a quarantine as long as they were not symptomatic before they boarde.)

Shees talk about price gouging... are we supposed to believe that world oil supplies are so ephemeral and liquid that a day long traffic jam creates a global shortage? 🙄
