Replying to @RepRashida
It also creates a program of emergency responder corps to be deployed to vulnerable communities like #13thDistrictStrong to ensure their access to the direct payments and other needed resources.

The #ABCAct is cosponsored by nine of our colleagues and endorsed by over ten organizations who have helped us champion recurring, aggressive, and inclusive financial assistance from our federal government during the #COVID19 crisis. Thank you all!

Directing to the needy... that's OK with me but this plan is not feasible. Wouldn't pass anyway, so it's almost seeming like a stunt.

Where's the full policy plan that convinces the legislators?
Unless they have such a detailed plan in hand, its simpy another version of 'free stuff' while leaving the How To up to someone else.
Lay it all out there already.

(5,275 posts)We should filter it to eliminate very wealthy people getting it. I believe most or all of the Scandinavian Nations do something similar.
Once we get back on our feet we could eliminate this or greatly reduce it.

But this will appeal to a lot of people, get them thinking about it, and that is how a movement begins.
