Two major pet peeves for me

One: The asswipe companies who pay people to say "I owed 66 thousand dollars in taxes and blah, blah, blah helped me so that I only had to pay $500." YOU OWED THE FUCKING TAXES!!!! PAY YOUR TAXES JUST LIKE I DO!!!!!

Two: Asswipes driving in downpours with NO LIGHTS ON!!! Especially when they are driving GREY vehicles!!!! TURN YOUR FUCKING LIGHTS ON...NOT ONLY IS IT THE LAW, it's just smart.

ok, rant off.

They don't turn them on even when it is getting dark or in the morning when it is still dark.

Saw it posted on highway signs in a couple of states -- IL, VA, maybe more that I've forgotten -- I've never seen such a sign in AL since I moved back here several years ago. But I've been doing it anyway, ever since I saw the first such sign in any state. It really does help, and I recognized a good idea when I saw it.

They also drive without headlights at early dawn or late dusk, which indeed makes them almost invisible to me if their vehicle is road-colored.

For their young eyes, maybe it seems nearly as bright as mid-day?

Keep in mind that there's several older drivers out there, youngins.

Lots of drivers don't use them now. I guess it's too much work. Maybe they're maskholes again flouting the big bad gubment and all its laws and tyranny. Freedumb!!!!!!!!

Oh, and distracted drivers on their phones.

I don't remember it being like this when I was younger. People mostly took driving seriously as the single job they had when they got behind the wheel.

Daytime Running Lights, at the very least. I think that feature has been around for 20 years.

because I see all brands and models on the streets with no lights in the rain.
I drive a LOT, so I get a chance to see this quite often. I also live in a city that gets more rain than any city on the mainland.

Turns out, they have been mandatory in Canada since 1990, and are mandatory in the EU. US car makers didn't want to, in large part because they felt it would add warranty repairs in the form of burned out bulbs.

People who refused to pull into an intersection when there's no "leading-green" left-turn arrow. I despise the timid drivers who hang-back behind the stop-bar, even after the light turns green... apparently waiting for some magical break in oncoming traffic that never comes. So they just wait and wait and wait.

I guess the word peeves are "I could care less," when they clearly mean the negative, "opps" for "oops" and "loose" for "lose." Those are just stupid.

Much worse are the people that assume the rules don't apply to them.
