To all DUers in MS, AL, and southern TN, please be weather-aware today.

The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded your region to a High Risk for tornadoes and severe storms today. It looks like it might be worse than last week. A 30% chance of a tornado hitting within 25 miles of you might not seem like much, but it is. Stay safe everyone!



Here's the latest video from my favorite amateur weather watcher on YouTube. He's usually more accurate than the NWS.

A storm system went through that same area a few years ago and did a lot of damage and killed a lot of people. I hope they're spared this year. The area where I live isn't as prone to have tornadoes, so we should be fine, but northern Mississippi and Alabama, along with central Tennessee are ground zero.
