President Biden intends to announce an updated goal to administer 200 million COVID-19 vaccinations in his first 100 days in office during his first press conference on Thursday, a source confirmed to The Hill.

The new target comes after the U.S. reached Biden’s original goal of 100 million vaccine vaccinations last Friday on the president’s 59th day in office.

The Hill has reached out to the White House for comment.

The U.S. currently has a seven-day average of about 2.5 million doses per day, which would allow the country to reach 205 million by Biden's 100th day, according to CNN.
