General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI'm in Twitter Jail today for posting "harrassment and/or threats".
Someone had mentioned something awful trump had said/done. Most responders in the thread were saying he should be in prison or exile, which of course I'm in agreement with. I recalled an episode of the Twilight Zone called "Life is Good". I've heard a lot of comparisons of trump to Anthony Fremont, the brat with supernatural powers, a short fuse & a malevolent nature. He could wish people into a nearby corn field.
You could be there forever and ever.
My remark was: "trump is a shambles, and should be thrown into the corn field."
When I woke up I saw Twitter had put me on a 12-hr Time-out; I can read it all I want, but no tweeting or liking or trying to make friends. It's the first time that's happened to me, and my face was hot. I really thought everyone knew which cornfield I was talking about.
I appealed it by saying that I'd meant to say "wished into the cornfield". I'm in my early 50's, 62 inches tall & have no interest in leaving my house. It was a terrible misunderstanding, probably based on that ending scene from the movie "Casino". I'm simply not formidable enough to either throw or wish anyone into a corn field.
I've used my spare time to clean my house to within an inch of its life and kill a pint of Ben & Jerry's. I devoutly hope that that doesn't scare anyone. By the time I'm done poring over what I could have done differently, I'll be back on Twitter.

Dude was bragging how he'd kept stores safe by open-carrying his military-looking rifle on his back into shopping centers.
I replied:
They gave me a lecture on threatening violence for stating that known fact.
I'm going to try wishing them into a cornfield right now.

But I've heard horror stories --esp. from women about twitter.

(18,748 posts)I remember during the debates, I suggested to the Twitterverse that someone had the perfect opportunity to get a floor crane in there. They could drive in and drop a heavy net on trump, lift the whole mess up and haul it away. Down the hall, to the exit and slung straight into the back doors of a prison van.
