10. Boebert's husband was arrested in 2004 for...
...exposing himself to young women at a bowling alley, and attempted to claim afterwards that the body part he was brandishing was his thumb, and that it was done “in a gesture of fun.”
Fine, upstanding character. And these morons have 5 children. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

12. You never know when you might have to get rid of a bad man...
... which is how it always worked in my matriarchal Wild West family.
I had at least one great grandma who could call upon her friend the county sheriff-coroner to clean up the mess and file the proper paperwork when a bad man was expelled from the pride. My great grandfathers were all dreamers, playing with their radios, cameras, automobiles, and airplanes. It was their wives who were most handy with the guns and knives. Like lionesses they did most of the hunting. Foolish men and their guns were soon separated. My wife's family was similar, on both sides of what later became the U.S. Mexico border. Some of them were forced to the Mexican side by the U.S. Army and later returned as "immigrants." |

manufacturers got rid of the folding stock, pistol grip and bayonet lug to make them AWB compliant.

7. Which is why we need to focus on the functionality that makes them so deadly...
...(high muzzle velocity, or very high bullet speed) that makes them so deadly.
That means regulating ammunition to limit muzzle velocity. |

9. So you want to outlaw virtually all rifle ammunition?
I would point out that 5.56x45 has a muzzle velocity (with a 62 grain bullet) of around 3,000 fps. The venerable .30-06, one of the most popular big game hunting cartridge of the last century, has a muzzle velocity (with a 150 grain bullet) of 2,900 fps.

20. Indeed, but it was the AWB that made me interested in ARs and...
...my first AR was a 2002 Olympic PCR (politically correct rifle). Sales picked up during the AWB, but really soared after it sunset. |

19. very true, but I still think it was the AWB that drew attention to ARs and semi-auto AKs
...and other items on the ban list. Even the AWB version of the crappy Tec-9 was popular.
Indeed, my first AR was a 20-inch Olympic PCR (politically correct rife) with detachable mag and pistol grip, but fixed stock, no bayo lug, compensator instead of flash suppressor, and maybe something else. Still sales increases massively after the ban sunset. ![]() for some reason I can't get this graph to display: knowledgeglue.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/ARchart-1024x604.png http://knowledgeglue.com/just-how-many-ar15s-are-out-there/ |

The tweet to which "Harry" is referring is plenty bizarre. I found lots of examples of the story, but the two most credible sources were vice and tmz.
