Rutgers University to require students be vaccinated for COVID-19

New Jersey's largest public college is one of the first universities in the country to require COVID vaccines for students.

Rutgers University will require all students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 ahead of its Fall 2021 semester.

In a letter to the community, Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway said the decision follows President Joe Biden's announcement that he expects all adults to have access to at least one dose by early summer.

And they should provide a valid vaccine card to prove. I don't want an honor system working here.

...from a student’s primary care provider attesting to completion of all the immunizations that are already required.

I can’t imagine that they would take someone’s word for this vaccine anymore than they would for pertussis, chicken pox, MMR or all the rest.

My grandson goes to Florida Gulf Coast University and they are extremely strict with Covid rules because when the epidemic first started many students were getting sick and they clamped down. Now they are all hoping to get their vaccines so that in the coming semester they will have a little more freedom to interact and have a better college experience.

and do much better, based on the students and teachers I’ve spoken with. I think online universities are set up for that type of virtual instruction, but it doesn’t translate so well on a campus environment where teaching and learning is more personalized.

This will not be able to be enforced until a vaccine is FDA approved right now they are all experimental. I got the Moderna through the VA and made sure I was aware of this multiple times before my shots.
