GOP Senator Sends Menacing Gun Tweet To Biden

The Hill reports:

Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) tweeted a photo of a statue of himself holding a gun on Thursday, addressing President Biden directly and daring him to “come and take it” amid a Democratic push for new gun control legislation. “Careful, she bites too,” Rounds said in the tweet accompanying the photo, which shows a dog at the statue’s feet. Rounds’s tweet sparked backlash online from some users who saw it as a potentially threatening message to the president.

Also, it's strange that a man still living has a public statue of himself. Apparently this is a thing for all governors in SD.

I was just about to write that when I saw your post. It was my first thought when I read the OP.

I have a friend who is married to a psychiatrist and his area of expertise is maturity. My friend edited his books on the topic and through her, I learned of his take on maturity. One belief he had was that while as a society, we think people mature about the age of 20 or 21, that is actually far from the case. There are a lot of people who way behind the curve on maturity. Some people never mature. I know of someone who lived an entire life without maturing; died at 84.

I think this is one characteristic that is very common in their ranks: they have an inability to wait, to play by the rules to get what they want. Anger control seems to be an issue, too.

Reportedly paid for with "private donations", which, I suspect, were somehow dunned from the taxpayers.

May I also point out that this would cover an attack against the Senate, which was in session on January 6th, and it included the Vice-President Elect.

He didn't include it, so it must be terrible.
I get that it's of a sportsman who is hunting, but this is how they honor him in South Dakota? What happened to the old fashioned intellectual statesman pose with a book?

This was probably commissioned by Rounds himself to say "I'm one of you".
