"Every last one of your names will go on a ballot," he noted. "Enjoy your time in office. Because you will see the power of the vote come back like a hammer. Like a hammer, for the action you have taken and the bill that was signed into law today."

(34,407 posts)it's our only hope, and I don't think there are many people who don't see that. We barely made it to this point, and nothing has changed to prevent the same crap, or worse from happening again. Good news is they don't try to hide it anymore. (241 posts)I watched him last night when he made these comments. He was way beyond angry and could barely contain himself. Everyone in this country owe it to Georgia to fight this crap. The black vote in Georgia was why we have a 50/50 slit in the Senate. We owe them big time when it comes to protected their right to vote along with every other citizen of this country.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
