Mean-spirited legislation from Georgia provides a prima-facie case for a Civil Rights violation. If they can't keep you at home, they intentionally want to keep the lines long, and the process unbearable for anyone to attempt to come out to vote.
So, it's a two step process for recourse. The first, hope the Civil Rights lawsuits get to the Supreme Court in time to obtain a positive outcome; ruling the Georgia law unconstitutional. Or prepare to pick up and bus people to the voting precincts and provide them with food and water in a parking lot outside of legal reach of the Georgia authorities.
The only thing worse than denying a human being drink to quench their thirst, is to offer them vinegar to drink. Ask Jesus.

(36,783 posts)Georgia. All voting precincts should have the same number of voting machines per number of voters and the same access to vote per number of voters.
And other states.
