(52,573 posts)"Jim Jordan Wrestling" comes up right after "Jim Jordan U.S. representative". What a clever idea.

(798 posts)Any different from USC that just got fined over a billion dollars??! Maybe its time to take the OSU case to court. Lets get everything out, put Jordan under oath, victims under oath, and see who ends up with a perjury charge, not to mention a monster fine.

(40,739 posts)It was the OSU wrestling team's doctor Richard Strauss who was charged and convicted of sexual abuse in something like 177 instances over an 18-year period. Several of the wrestlers who made charges against the team doctor have said that they first went to Jordan who was the team's assistant coach. Jordan did nothing in all that time, and in some cases tried to talk the students out of filing charges.
If Jordan is guilty of anything, it's that he enabled a monster to continue his predatory behavior at the university. It seems to me that Jordan has a weak moral standard, but I haven't seen evidence that he engaged in the sexual abuse himself. If anyone knows differently please post it, and I'll delete this message.

(798 posts)So, how is Jordan different from USC? Isnt it the case that both knew about and protected sex abusers?

(40,739 posts)BUT it remains to be seen, so I'm trying not to jump on the bandwagon. There may never be any charges against Jordan.

(12,182 posts)...did anyone notice that "Jim Jordan wrestling" was the second autofill after typing "Jim Jordan?" Hopefully, this story is growing legs.
I have mixed feelings about "smearing" someone out of office, but I'm satisfied that, in this instance, it's perfectly OK. Almost anything to get rid of this toad.
