Bennett says Cuomo skipped mandatory sexual harassment training, by having a staffer do it for him.

Cuomo says he did (though he obviously didn't learn from it.)

"I was there. I heard [the office director] say, 'I can't believe I'm doing this for you' and making a joke about the fact that she was completing the training for him," Bennett told CBS. "And then I heard her at the end ask him to sign the certificate."

In the wake of the allegations against him, Cuomo was asked by a reporter on Wednesday whether he had taken the sexual harassment training.

"Short answer is yes," Cuomo responded.

"She (Cuomo's counsel) also said the staffer who is accused of taking the training for the governor "categorically denies this exchange."

from Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory.

Seriously though, every time you think this guy can't dig the hole any deeper for himself it turns out he's been working overtime in a backhoe.

And I believe it may start with a requirement that you are not doing it for anyone else. Does anyone know?

of how the training was conducted.

In any case, the state's rules say the training must be interactive, with the employee answering questions and interacting. If he had a staffer do it, then the staffer would have been interacting, not Cuomo.

An employer’s sexual harassment prevention training must be interactive, meaning it requires some level of feedback by those being trained.
The training, which may be presented to employees individually or in groups; in person, via phone or online; via webinar or recorded presentation, should include as many of the following elements as possible:
• Ask questions of employees as part of the program;
• Accommodate questions asked by employees, with answers provided in a timely manner;
• Require feedback from employees about the training and the materials presented.

4. The training is easy to do...

It’s an online course that you read through and answer questions (the answer is always “Yes, it’s sexual harassment). You can get though it in about it 15-20 minutes...unless you’re too “busy”.

FYI: Despite my apparent “obsession” and “agenda”, I didn’t post this. It seems as though other people think the Cuomo situation is “newsworthy”...

5. Yes, but it's supposed to be interactive; meaning the person doing the training

is supposed to be interacting -- not their staffer.
