It's at 60 now but what happens if it ticks up there to 65-67? How much pressure does that put on Republicans? Any?

He was barely hanging on to 40 when those midterms came on 2010 and 2014.
On edit: actually 45% in 2010 on average. 40% in 2014. The trick next year is to pass as much popular legislation that the inevitable barrage of super pac ads won't dent his approval rating.

(13,040 posts)I've learned public opinion can be very fickle &turn quickly. Dems need to hold it together & fight like hell to keep both House &senate to prevent GQP from turning our nation into authoritarian rule. Sickening to watch them enact such eggregious voting restrictions in the red states.
