9. I disagree with the framing of this incident.

It was not "a reminder of the state's dark past." It was a continuation of it. "Past" suggests that blatant racism is past.

It isn’t much better in any Republican-run state. Texas is just as bad in its treatment of minorities. Remember Sandra Bland? She was on her way to a teaching job in Texas when she was stopped by a policeman for a minor traffic violation. She was arrested and put in jail, where three days later she had somehow committed suicide. No charges against anyone. All minorities are at risk when driving in Texas, especially in the more rural areas where no one is watching and no cameras are recording actions.

14. I think it would be more effective if you moved here. Yes, boycott brands

that support Republican politicians and that are not anti-racist.

But also think about Charles Blow and why he moved here. Migration patterns of people into the state are not favorable for republicans.

If the pace continues, Georgia will be majority minority by 2028.
